A new design hotel. Four bespoke saunas. One standard of craftsmanship.
In Willingen (Upland), in the heart of Germany’s Sauerland region, the new Design-Hotel Schutzhütte is getting ready to welcome its first guests. For this lifestyle boutique hotel, which combines alpine flair with modern architecture, Celsium designed, built and installed four bespoke indoor saunas.
Each of the four saunas was designed individually for its own space within the new hotel, working with the room dimensions and architecture rather than around them.
The interiors are finished in Aspen, a light, smooth hardwood that stays pleasant to the touch even at high temperatures. The benches are built in the signature Celsium style, also in Aspen, creating a calm, bright and timeless sauna atmosphere.
All four saunas were crafted at the Celsium factory and installed on site in Germany by our own Celsium installation team, coordinated around the schedule of an active hotel construction project.
